Meet the Owner
Shelby
Shelby became interested in training with her first dog, Kali, a rescue papillon/chihuahua who she taught to do everything from sport scent work to ride atop kayaks on the water. She then went on to work with Police K9's in West Virginia and helped dogs along their journey from puppyhood to being certified on various narcotics. Her interests vary from trick dog training, to agility, to sport scent work, and behavior modification. With her current sport dog a Belgian malinois named Kyber, she is working toward titling Kyber in a bite work sport called PSA. With her current rescue chihuahua, Mak, she is working on sport scent work.
The Demo Dogs
Kyber
This malinois has earned her PDC, CGC, and AKC TKN. She was born in 2019 and has been at Shelby’s side ever since. She LOVES kids and has been known to disrupt group classes in order to get belly scratches from children. She is the main demo dog here at Saber k9 and loves helping families achieve their goals with their dogs.
Lyra
This is the newest member of the staff. She is another Belgain malinois and she is learning the skills needed to be competitive in PSA alongside her older sister Kyber. She is friendly and will one day also be an excellent demo dog here at Saber K9.
